ROLE DESCRIPTIONState Farm Alpharetta - Jon Jones Agency is seeking a motivated and ambitious intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in sales within the insurance industry. As a Intern - State Farm Agent Team Member, you will play a vital role in supporting our insurance agents by actively participating in sales initiatives, prospecting new clients, and helping build lasting customer relationships. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy engaging with people, and are eager to develop their sales skills for a successful career in business and financial services.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist the agency in achieving sales targets through prospecting, qualifying leads, and supporting agents in closing new business.
  • Engage with potential and existing customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate insurance products.
  • Participate in marketing and outreach activities designed to generate new leads and grow the agency’s customer base.
  • Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service, including responding to inquiries, policy changes, and billing clarification, with a focus on identifying sales opportunities.
  • Conduct customer-focused, needs-based reviews to educate clients about insurance options and promote relevant products.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop innovative sales strategies and contribute to the overall growth of the business.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student in an undergraduate or post-graduate program throughout the duration of the internship.
  • Coursework or strong interest in areas such as Sales, Marketing, Business, Insurance, Financial Services, or Real Estate.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an interest in building relationships and influencing others.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for sales and a drive to achieve results.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to meet deadlines and sales goals.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Compensation $12.00 per hour
